Around the sixth century was built a Christian monastery on Skellig Maichael or Great Skellig that always remained busy until the twelfth century when it was abandoned .
What remains of the monastery as well as the islands themselves are part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 1996.
After saying goodbye to the Skellig Michael we went through by Lyttle Skellig and we faced a real spectacle.
What seemed in the distance white stones or flowers, such as those found on Great Skellig, were simply thousands of seabirds of different species.
